Photometer

Photometer is a light-measuring app, the kind photographers and technicians open when they need exposure or brightness readouts rather than a picture app’s fancy extras. By our assessment, its best point is focus: it does one measurement job and does not get distracted by editing clutter. The trade-off is that a photometer is only as good as the phone’s sensor and the way the app interprets it, so it is a helper, not a laboratory instrument. In practice, using this kind of tool is calm and mechanical: point, read, adjust, repeat. Compared with a full camera app or a meter built into dedicated gear, it is simpler and usually less exacting.
