Photographer's companion Pro is built for photographers who need field data rather than another editing app. By our assessment, it is strongest as a compact reference tool for camera settings, exposure help, and the practical calculations that come up on location. The downside is that it asks the user to know what those numbers mean, so it is not much help to someone who wants a simple point-and-shoot experience. In practice it feels like a pocket notebook for shooting decisions, more technical than flashy and more useful on assignment than on the couch. It sits among specialist photo aids, well away from social camera apps and filters. Photographer's companion Pro makes the shooting process more deliberate, and that is exactly the point.
