Photo Recovery: Deleted Files is built around one anxious moment: finding out a photo is gone and hoping the app can bring it back. By our assessment, that narrow job is also its main strength, because deleted-file recovery can be genuinely useful when the file is still recoverable on the device. The limit is just as narrow and just as real: once data has been overwritten or never really existed in a recoverable state, no app can magic it back. In practice these tools tend to feel like a sweep through storage rather than a tidy photo gallery, with uncertain results and a lot of waiting around for hope. It sits in the recovery-tool corner of the store, not among proper photo managers or editors. Photo Recovery: Deleted Files is for last-ditch searches, and that is why it never feels polished.
