Perfect Piano

Perfect Piano gives the familiar feel of a piano keyboard without the bulk of a real instrument. By our assessment, Perfect Piano is a music app for tapping out notes, learning simple melodies, and using a phone or tablet as a practice keyboard. Its main strength is immediate access to the keys and the range of sounds and modes that apps of this kind usually pack in. The trade-off is obvious: touch screens do not give you a real weighted action, so technique and touch are only approximated. In practice it is quick, light, and more forgiving than a physical piano, which makes it handy for sketching ideas or casual practice. It sits between a toy keyboard and a proper instrument, and the gap shows as soon as finger control matters.
