Pads - Lush Pad Synthesizer is built for broad, soft synth textures, the sort of thing ambient players and sound designers reach for when they want a held-out background rather than a sharp lead. By our assessment, its strength is obvious from the name: it is meant for warm, layered pads that fill space without needing much showy control. The downside is also built in, because a pad synth is not the right tool when a track needs punch, bite, or a fast melodic line. In practice this kind of app invites slow shaping, long notes, and a lot of listening to how the texture sits. Compared with all-purpose keyboard apps, it is narrower but more specific about the sound it wants. It does one atmosphere very well, and that is enough for the people who actually need that sound.
