Outliner

Outliner is for people who think in nested lists, not in freeform notes, and that is exactly where it feels natural. By our assessment, its main strength is fast structuring: turning a messy pile of thoughts into an outline with levels, indentation, and quick reordering. The limit is also obvious, because the whole format depends on hierarchy; if you want rich formatting, visual boards, or a broad note system, this is the wrong shape. In practice it feels like a focused editor for thinking through plans, projects, and checklists one layer at a time. Compared with broad note apps, it is narrower but cleaner at the specific job of organizing ideas into structure. Outliner is at its best when the outline itself matters more than decoration.
