NowThis: Tasks for Nextcloud is for people who already use Nextcloud and want task lists that stay inside that system instead of drifting into a separate app. By our assessment, its real strength is the tight connection to Nextcloud Tasks, so reminders and to-dos live in the same self-hosted environment as the rest of the account. The limit is equally clear: without Nextcloud, the app has little to stand on, so it is not a general planner for everyone. In practice it feels like a companion for an existing setup rather than a standalone productivity toy, with the usual payoff of one place to keep things in sync. It fits best when the rest of the household is already in Nextcloud.
