Negative Harmony serves a very specific job: it helps musicians explore mirrored chord movement and unexpected alternate voicings. By our assessment, the app is most appealing when someone already knows basic harmony and wants a fast way to test ideas that would be tedious to work out by hand. That same focus is the limit, because it is not a broad music workspace and it will not teach the fundamentals for you. Using it feels like running a compact theory tool rather than playing through a song app. Compared with general music apps, it is much more specialized, and that specialization is exactly what gives it value.
