Necrophone Real Spirit Box is for the paranormal-curious crowd that wants an app shaped like a spirit box rather than a sober utility. By our assessment, the attraction is the familiar ghost-hunting format, so the name does most of the selling before the app even opens. That makes it clear and easy to understand, but also narrow: if the theme does not appeal, there is not much else to lean on. In practice these apps usually work as mood pieces, with sounds, scanning-style effects, or other theatrical touches doing the heavy lifting. Compared with ordinary entertainment apps, Necrophone Real Spirit Box is niche and highly thematic, and it stays there without apology.
