LensFlare Optical Effects does one very specific job: it adds lens flares, light leaks, glows, and other optical-style overlays to photos. By our assessment, that focus is its best feature, because it gives editors a fast way to push an image toward a cinematic or glossy look without building the effect from scratch. The trade-off is simple too: once you are in this territory, the image can start to feel obviously decorated if the hand is too heavy. In practice it is a tool for experimenting with light rather than correcting an image, so it rewards restraint and a good eye for placement. LensFlare Optical Effects sits with the stylization tools, not the repair tools, and that is exactly the point.
