Latitude Festival is an app for people who go to the festival and want schedules, lineups, maps, and the usual event information in one place. By our assessment, its value is mostly practical: when a festival app is clear, it saves a lot of paper-checking and lets someone keep track of stages and times without digging through posters. The limit is that it only matters inside the festival bubble, so outside that moment it has little reason to stay open. In use these apps are busy but useful, with a lot of small taps and a constant need to match what is happening now. Latitude Festival sits with other event-specific apps rather than with general music services, because its job is to organise one weekend rather than to provide a broad audio library. It is for visitors who want logistics more than discovery, and by our assessment it does not need to be more than that.
