By our assessment, its best trick is practical: the savings and store offers are all in one place, and for regular shoppers that can make the weekly shop less fiddly. The limit is that it is tied to one chain, so it has little value if there is no Kroger nearby or if someone prefers a broader marketplace. In practice it feels like a supermarket counter moved onto a phone, with the app doing list-making, coupon clipping, and some order management. Compared with generic shopping apps, Kroger is narrower but more grounded in one store's real prices and promotions, which is what makes it useful.
