InTune – Intonationstrainer

InTune – Intonationstrainer asks for patience, because pitch training only works when the listener is willing to compare, repeat, and correct. By our assessment, its best use is for singers, choirs, and anyone working on intonation rather than melody in the casual sense. The strength of a trainer like this is precision: it can focus on small pitch differences that a normal music app would barely bother to notice. The downside is that precision can feel dry, and it rewards concentration more than quick entertainment. In practice, you get the kind of repetition that is useful but not glamorous, with ear training sitting right in the middle of the experience. It belongs with other music practice tools, not with streaming or composition apps. InTune – Intonationstrainer suits people who want disciplined pitch work and are ready to do the listening drills that come with it.
