HoloPlay - Hologram Player is a photo and video app for playing back hologram-style media on a phone or tablet, so it mainly makes sense for people who already have that kind of content. By our assessment, its appeal is narrow but clear: it gives ordinary screens a way to present specialty clips without much setup. The trade-off is obvious, because it cannot create holograms on its own and is only as interesting as the files you feed it. In practice, that means a lot of waiting for the right content and not much reason to keep it open otherwise. It sits closer to a novelty viewer than a full media tool, and the Astina catalogue placing it in Photo & Video fits that. HoloPlay - Hologram Player stays useful only when the user already has hologram material ready to go.
