Hairy Letters

Hairy Letters is an education app for early reading practice, and the appeal is obvious enough: it frames letters in a child-friendly way and keeps the task simple. By our assessment, that simplicity is also its main strength, because it stays close to the basics instead of burying them under extra features. The limit is that it will feel too small for anyone beyond the first steps of literacy work, since it is not a broad reading platform. In practice, an app like this is usually about short bursts, repetition, and adult guidance rather than independent exploration. It sits among phonics and alphabet apps, where the real competition is all about clarity and patience. Hairy Letters is best thought of as a first-step learning aid, not a full reading solution.
