Gruffalo: Games

Gruffalo: Games is a children’s educational app built around the Gruffalo brand, so it mainly reaches families with younger kids. By our assessment, its appeal is the familiar story world and the low-friction play that usually comes with licensed children’s apps: taps, simple tasks, and a gentle pace. The ceiling is also clear, because branded activity apps rarely offer much depth once the novelty fades. In practice, it is the sort of thing a child can move through quickly on a tablet without needing much reading or complicated control. The Astrina catalogue labels it Education, which matches the learning-through-play angle. It sits closer to a light companion app than to a broad game collection, and that makes its scope quite narrow.
