By our assessment, that makes it a clever math-flavoured strategy game for players who enjoy algebra as play rather than as homework. Its best trick is the idea itself: turning equations into shots gives it a distinct identity that most games do not even try to copy. The downside is obvious once the novelty lands, since the same mechanic can become demanding and a bit niche for anyone who does not already like functions and plotting. In practice it is less about fast action than about pausing, drawing, and thinking ahead. Compared with ordinary strategy games, Graphwar II is much more abstract, and compared with ordinary math apps it is much more game-like.
