Google Health (Fitbit)

Google Health (Fitbit) sits in the awkward middle between Fitbit’s old health-tracking world and Google’s newer control over the account side. By our assessment, it is mainly for people who still think in steps, heart rate, sleep, and exercise rings rather than in general Google services. The good part is obvious: it keeps the Fitbit idea focused on daily health tracking instead of turning it into a cluttered general app. The limit is that this kind of app is only as good as the wearable and the account setup around it, so it is not much use if someone wants a full medical record or a broad wellness suite. In practice it is the sort of thing people open to check trends, sync data, and keep tabs on basic fitness habits. Compared with phone-only health apps it is more tied to hardware, and compared with serious medical tools it stays light. Google Health (Fitbit) is a clean fit for routine tracking, and the rest is mostly restraint.
