GOToronto: GO Transit Sidekick

GOToronto: GO Transit Sidekick does one practical transit job well: it helps people move through Toronto’s GO system without treating the trip like a puzzle. By our assessment, the app belongs with navigation tools that are less about maps for their own sake and more about stops, timing, and getting from one leg of a journey to the next. That makes it useful for regular commuters and occasional riders who want the transit layer, not a giant city-guide bundle. The trade-off is focus: a sidekick for GO Transit will naturally be narrower than a full mapping app, and it will not replace every travel need. In practice, that narrowness is what makes it pleasant, because the information is usually organized around the ride rather than around clutter. GOToronto: GO Transit Sidekick sits below the big general map apps and above the habit of checking everything in separate places.
