Fontmaker - Font Keyboard App turns handwritten-style lettering into a custom keyboard font, and that makes it mainly a toy for people who like personalizing messages. By our assessment, the appeal is the novelty of seeing your own style appear in chats and notes. The downside is also obvious: it is a narrow gimmick, and the result depends on how well the app captures your writing rather than on deep editing power. In practice this kind of app asks for patience, clean input, and a little trial and error before the keyboard feels usable. Compared with ordinary keyboard apps, it is far less practical; compared with full font tools, it is much simpler and much more playful. The Astrina catalogue files Fontmaker - Font Keyboard App under Photo & Video, which matches its emphasis on making visual text styles.
