Ferdinands Feld Festival

Ferdinands Feld Festival is another festival app, and it serves the same basic crowd: people who need schedules, artist lists, and on-site orientation more than polished content. By our assessment, its best use is the plain one of keeping the festival day organized, especially when there are several things happening at once. The downside is that a festival app only earns its place if the event itself is active in your plans; otherwise it is just another seasonal icon. In practice these apps are not fancy, but they are good at the small things that matter on the ground, like checking what is next and where to go. It sits in music as event support, not as a music product, and the festival label tells you exactly how narrow it is. The name makes the use case obvious before the app does anything else.
