ExplorOz Traveller asks for attention, because it is a navigation app made for off-road and outback travel, not a casual city map. By our assessment, the point of it is the detailed route and trip-planning side: maps, tracks, and the sort of travel information people use when ordinary turn-by-turn directions are not enough. That also sets its limit, since it is aimed at a specific kind of travel and is not trying to be a clean all-purpose navigator. In practice it feels more serious and more specialised than the default map apps most people keep on their phones. ExplorOz Traveller sits in the bush-navigation corner of the field, where detail matters more than polish.
