Exact Scanner: Text to List is aimed at turning bits of printed or typed text into a clean list, so it suits people who copy ingredients, tasks, or notes out of messy sources. By our assessment, the useful part is the extraction itself: a narrow job done with less retyping and fewer missed lines. The downside is that any scanner-to-text tool lives and dies by the quality of the source, so bad layout or fuzzy text still needs human cleanup. In practice these apps feel like a shortcut with a bit of supervision attached. It sits closer to OCR helpers and list-making tools than to a general note app, and that narrowness is the point. The ceiling is the source text, not the app's ambition.
