Getting a drum kit to sound even takes more than tightening every lug by the same amount; the head’s pitch matters too. Drumtune NXT | drum tuner is aimed at drummers who want a more deliberate way to tune drums than relying only on ear and feel. It uses the phone as part of the tuning process, helping the player work toward a target pitch across the drumhead. By our assessment, that makes it a practical specialist tool, particularly when consistency between drums matters. It cannot make the mechanical work disappear: the head still needs careful adjustment, and a reading is only useful if the drum is struck and measured consistently. It is also a drum tuner, not a general-purpose tuner for every instrument. The hands-on tuning remains part of the job.
