Dictée Montessori is a writing-and-spelling app built for children who are working on dictation, sound-letter matching, and careful word formation. By our assessment, its strongest point is that it turns a classic classroom exercise into something paced and visual, which can make repetition feel less like a chore. The trade-off is that dictation is still dictation: it rewards concentration, patience, and regular practice, and it will not entertain a child who wants fast action. In everyday use it is all about listening, typing or selecting, checking, and trying again until spelling lands. Compared with broad kids’ apps, it is much more specific, and that narrowness is part of the point.
