Creamfields

Creamfields is an app for a music festival audience that wants lineups, schedules, maps, and the sort of updates a big event app usually carries. By our assessment, its value is practical rather than flashy: it should help festival-goers keep track of stages and timings without digging through scattered posts. The obvious limit is that a festival app is only useful when the event is current, so most of that value is tied to a short stretch of use. In practice these apps tend to be a bit busy, with lots of notices and quick switches between sections, which is fine when you are on site and less appealing at home. Creamfields sits in the same territory as other festival companion apps, where the job is to reduce confusion, not to entertain by itself. It is for people who need the event in their pocket and not for anyone looking for a standalone music service.
