Coloring Watch

Coloring Watch is a small entertainment app built around the novelty of coloring on a watch-sized screen. By our assessment, that novelty is also the main thing it has going for it: it is a quick distraction, a tiny toy, and not much more than that. The downside comes from the same place, because a watch screen leaves little room and very little patience for detailed work. In practice it is likely to feel fiddly, with tapping and swiping compressed into a space that is better at glances than at art. Compared with coloring apps on a phone or tablet, this sounds more like a gimmick than a serious creative tool, which is fine if that is the goal. The Astrina catalogue files it under Entertainment, and that is the right lane for it.
