CNV Check-In sounds built for people who practice nonviolent communication and want a small prompt for checking in with feelings and needs, and by our assessment, that is a sensible but specialized use. The good part is obvious: it gives a simple structure for reflection, which can help conversations stay calmer and more specific. The limit is also obvious: an app cannot do the real interpersonal work, and it will feel thin if someone wants therapy, conflict repair, or a full communication course. In practice, this kind of tool tends to be short, repetitive, and very dependent on the user’s honesty with themselves. It sits between a worksheet and a reminder app, and the plain fact is that it only works as well as the person using it keeps up the check-ins.
