CAGED Unchained

Learning the guitar fretboard through recurring chord shapes is the central idea behind CAGED Unchained. The CAGED approach links familiar open-chord forms to movable positions, helping players see how chords and related scale patterns connect along the neck. That gives practice a useful map instead of leaving each shape as an isolated grip. It is a focused learning app rather than a general guitar course, and the framework can feel limiting if treated as the only way to understand the instrument. By our assessment, it offers a practical route into fretboard patterns for players willing to work through them slowly. The shapes still have to be learned on the guitar, not just recognized on a screen.
