BeatLayer - Lauf-Metronom gives runners a steady tempo cue, which is useful for people trying to keep their pace even on easy runs or training days. By our assessment, its strength is the directness of that beat: a metronome is a very simple idea, and for running that simplicity can be exactly what keeps rhythm from drifting. The downside is that it is a narrow tool, so it helps cadence more than endurance, route choice, or the rest of a training plan. In practice it asks for attention at first and then fades into the background once the stride locks in, which is a neat fit for repetitive training. Compared with full running apps, it is much more specialized and less crowded with features. BeatLayer - Lauf-Metronom is for pace discipline, not for replacing a training log or coaching plan.
