BABY born®

BABY born® is a branded children’s app for fans of the doll line, so it naturally lands with young kids and the adults who set up toy-themed play on a tablet. By our assessment, its best feature is the familiarity of the brand: it gives the app a clear face and a ready-made world around it. The trade-off is the usual one for licensed kids apps, where the experience can be pleasant but fairly narrow once the character hook has done its work. In practice this kind of app tends to be short, touch-driven, and built around simple actions rather than long sessions. It sits next to other toy and character apps rather than educational software, and Astrina files it under Entertainment.
