Aura Frames

Aura Frames is for handling photo frames that show shared pictures from an app, so it lands in the space between digital albums and home display hardware. By our assessment, the appeal is the clean loop from phone to frame: family photos can be pushed into the frame without much fuss, and that makes it feel more alive than a static object on a shelf. The trade-off is that it depends on connected hardware and a pretty specific use case, so it is not a general photo editor or a social feed. In practice, that means it works best when someone already wants a dedicated frame in the house and wants the photos to keep cycling. Aura Frames sits closer to a niche photo companion than to a broad picture app.
