ArtStudio - Draw and Paint asks for patience, a steady hand, and a bit of familiarity with digital painting tools, and that is exactly why it has value. By our assessment, it is a serious Photo & Video-category app for drawing and painting rather than a toy sketchpad. The strength is the classic one for this kind of software: brushes, layers, color control, and enough room to work on real illustrations. The downside is the usual one too: more power means more settings and a little more learning before it feels natural. In practice it is the sort of app where the canvas can get busy fast, but that is part of the point. ArtStudio - Draw and Paint sits closer to a proper art workstation than to a casual doodling app.
