Arlo Secure: Home Security is for people running Arlo cameras and doorbells who want alerts, live views and recorded clips in one place. By our assessment, it does the basics of home monitoring well: motion notifications, camera feeds, event history and the controls that make a camera system feel usable day to day. The honest limit is that it makes the most sense if the house is already inside Arlo’s ecosystem; without that hardware, the app does very little. In practice it is a control room more than a general security suite, with a lot of checking, swiping and deciding whether a movement matters. It sits with other smart-home security apps, but Arlo’s focus on its own devices keeps it tighter than the broad one-size-fits-all options. Arlo Secure: Home Security is at its strongest when the setup is already in place and the user just wants a clear view of what the cameras see.
