For someone beginning Malagasy, Apprendre le malgache has a clear educational aim: learning the language. The title does not show whether the app emphasizes vocabulary, grammar, listening, or speaking, so it is hard to judge how complete a course it offers. By our assessment, the focused subject is a sensible starting point, but lasting progress in a language still calls for regular practice beyond an app.
