Appel

Appel is one of those school apps that sits around a single learning task and does not try to become a whole platform. By our assessment, that narrowness is also its strength, because focused practice is easier to repeat than a busy all-in-one classroom bundle. The trade-off is obvious: a single-purpose app can be clean and calm, but it can also feel thin if a learner needs more context, more variety or a teacher’s explanation. In use it should feel direct and spare, with little friction between opening it and doing the exercise. Compared with broader education apps, it is more modest and more specialised. The best thing it can do is stay out of the way.
