Alpha Focus Bracketing

Alpha Focus Bracketing is aimed at photographers who want more control over focus than a single shot can give, especially when the subject has depth and the sharp plane matters. By our assessment, the useful part is the bracketing idea itself: taking a sequence with shifted focus so the photographer can choose or combine the best result later. The trade-off is obvious, because this kind of shooting asks for more setup and a steadier hand than an ordinary camera app. In practice it feels less like snapping pictures and more like preparing a small technical exercise. Compared with a standard camera app, it belongs to the more specialized end of photo tools. Alpha Focus Bracketing makes sense for careful shooting of still subjects; it is not the thing for fast everyday snapshots.
