Acrobits Softphone

Acrobits Softphone is what people use when a phone call needs to run over SIP rather than a normal mobile line. Its strength is the broad, serious VoIP feature set: account handling, calling over internet connections, and the sort of control people expect from a dedicated softphone instead of a casual messenger call. By our assessment, that makes it a solid fit for users who rely on business telephony or custom VoIP services. The trade-off is that it asks for setup and an actual SIP account, so it is not the easiest app for someone who just wants a quick chat button. In practice it feels like infrastructure software in app form, with a lot more configuration than glamour. Compared with consumer calling apps, Acrobits Softphone is more technical and less forgiving, but that is exactly why it has a place. It is the kind of tool that matters most when the calling setup itself is the point.
