01What the network collects
Device basics
Operating system, agent version, your IP address and the country and network derived from it — used to route work, keep coverage honest, and tell independent devices apart so one person cannot pose as a crowd. Erasing your data removes the address. We do not store a precise location.
Check results
The outcome of each web check your device runs (up/down, load time, certificate validity) and how long it took. These are about the sites being checked, not about you.
Your labels
If you answer AI-labeling questions, your chosen answer is recorded and combined with others by consensus. Personal data is scrubbed before any answer enters a training set.
Account & rewards
Your Astra Points ledger and device pairing, so you can be rewarded and manage your devices.
What you chose to watch
If you set up a watch, the address you asked us to follow and what you asked us to look for are stored — they are yours, shown only to you, and they go when you delete the watch or your data.
App sessions
If you sign in from the mobile app, its session and (if you allow notifications) its push token, so alerts can reach your phone. Revoking the session removes both.
Votes and appeals
If you vote on network priorities or appeal a verdict, that record is kept — an appeal cannot be reviewed anonymously, and a vote has to be counted once.
02What the agent never does
- Read your personal files, messages, photos or browsing history.
- Scan ports or probe internal/private addresses without the site owner’s consent.
- Flood, attack or overload any website — it makes the same read-only requests a browser does.
- Ignore robots rules or crawl aggressively.
- Broker, resell or route other people’s traffic through your device.
- Run when you told it not to — you control the schedule (for example, only on Wi-Fi or while charging).
You can remove the agent at any time, and your device stops contributing immediately.
