Notes from the Underbelly — это комедия про беременность, первые родительские страхи и неловкость взрослой жизни, которая постоянно пытается выглядеть собранной. По нашей оценке, сериал выигрывает именно на этом бытовом материале: такие ситуации сразу понятны и легко считываются. Но и предел здесь тоже ясен — если персонажи остаются слишком схематичными, шутки быстро начинают повторяться. В просмотре это сериал на ритм, повторяющиеся семейные сцены и терпение к хаосу вокруг дома и друзей. По сравнению с более громкими комедиями про работу он выглядит камернее и бытовее. Notes from the Underbelly подходит тем, кому нужна не сатира, а комедия про повседневную неуклюжесть.
