What a lookup tells you
Give Astrina a phone number and you get back the technical facts that identify it, along with a community verdict on how trustworthy it is. Every lookup returns:
- Country and its ISO code
- Operator / carrier the number belongs to
- Line type so you can tell a mobile from a landline or other line
- A risk score and a plain-language verdict — is this number reported as spam or scam?
The first three tell you what the number is. The risk score tells you what people have experienced with it.
Where the risk signal comes from
The risk score isn't a black box. It is powered by community reviews of phone-number subjects on Astrina — real reports left by the community about that number. Each report is positive, neutral, or negative, and Astrina weighs how many there are and how recent they are.
Recency matters because a number's reputation changes. Astrina looks at activity over the last 30 and 90 days, so a number that started getting flagged this week surfaces quickly, and stale reports don't drown out what is happening now. The more the community contributes, the sharper the signal becomes for everyone.

These pages collect the community's reports in one place, so you can read the context behind a verdict — not just the score, but the pattern of experiences that produced it. They are handy to share, to link to, and to check when you want the human story behind a flag.
Built into the API
If you want to check numbers programmatically — screening sign-ups, enriching a CRM, or filtering inbound calls — the same intelligence is available through the API. One request returns both the identity fields and a structured risk object.
