Janod / JURATOYS Sound Camera is a toy camera for young children who enjoy pretending to take pictures and pushing buttons that make noise. By our assessment, its real strength is the little burst of make-believe it offers: a handheld shape, an easy trigger, and sound effects that turn a simple prop into a game. The downside is obvious too, because sound toys can get repetitive fast and the whole thing depends on the child liking that camera-and-click routine. In use it is more about role play and imitation than about anything photographic, so it makes sense for toddlers and not for children who want a serious pretend device.
