Startup

Startup is the sort of crypto name that does not tell you much, and that usually means you are looking at a project token rather than a simple payment asset. By our assessment, it fits the familiar pattern of crypto ventures that borrow the energy of the word itself while asking users to care about the project behind it. The real upside of such a token is usually access to a narrow ecosystem, community hooks or some in-project role. The real downside is that the token’s meaning is fragile: outside that story, there is often little to hold on to. In practice Startup sounds like something built for people already inside the project’s circle, where the token’s value depends on whether that circle keeps moving. It is not a broad-market crypto name, and it does not pretend to be a calm place to park money.
