Pangolin

Pangolin carries the standard promise and the standard compromise of a cryptocurrency: it exists as a token, not a product with a clear everyday job. By our assessment, that makes it hard to praise too warmly, because the name alone does not tell you what problem it solves beyond the usual blockchain pitch. What it is good at, in the broad sense, is being a liquid speculative asset if a market around it exists; what it is not good at is giving a normal user a concrete service to rely on. In practice that means wallets, transfers and price watching, which is familiar territory for people already in crypto and empty territory for everyone else. It sits with the long tail of tokens that trade more on branding than on a plainly useful function, and Pangolin is not different enough from that crowd to feel essential. By our assessment, it is for people who already want exposure to another token and not for anyone looking for a direct utility.
