Janitor

Janitor has the kind of name that makes a cryptocurrency sound practical before it has proved anything practical at all. By our assessment, that gives it a clean, everyday label, but the actual meaning still depends on what the token is meant to do inside its ecosystem. The strength of a name like this is memorability; the weakness is that it can hint at usefulness without showing any. In use, a token of this sort will still be a token first: something people trade, hold, or discuss, rather than a plain service with a job everyone understands. Janitor therefore sits in the broad crypto world of names that suggest order, work and routine, even when the market reality may be much looser. The plain fact is that the name does more of the work than the token itself, and that is often where the ceiling appears.
