BrightID is built around identity, not payments, and that immediately puts it in the bucket of crypto projects aimed at proving a person is unique without handing over a full passport scan. By our assessment, that is a real and interesting use case, because identity sybil resistance matters in a lot of crypto systems. The promise is clear: a lighter-weight way to support trust in applications that need one-person-one-account logic. The limit is just as clear, because identity systems are always a hard sell and usually depend on adoption by the platforms around them. In practice, that means the value sits in the network effect, not in a coin-like feel. It is less like a normal currency and more like infrastructure for digital identity checks. BrightID fits people building or using identity-gated crypto apps; it is not for someone who wants a simple token to hold and forget.
